GALILEO System Status
Limited Availability of ERIC Full-text Documents
Posted October 17, 2012 2:34 pm
Some ERIC documents with publication dates before 2005 are not available due to privacy concerns about some of the information contained in the collection. This affects ERIC (at eric.ed.gov) and ERIC (at EBSCOhost).
A team at Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) is working to restore access as quickly as they are able, but many documents must be checked by hand due to the quality of the document, making the process time-intensive.
As of 5/14/13, ERIC has restored online access to more than 21,000 full-text PDFs with publication dates from 2005-2013. These are documents and journal articles with permission to provide the full text that were previously restricted due to privacy concerns. Restrictions also have been lifted on the release of newly indexed, copyright-cleared full text with publication dates of 2005 or greater.
If you would like to request a PDF to be returned online, the ERIC staff have provided an online form where you can request to have a particular document prioritized for review.
A spreadsheet listing newly released documents can be found at the ERIC site. ERIC also provides a PDF Status form where users can check the status of an ERIC document.
Please see the ERIC site for additional information.
